Workshop backgroundOn the 14th of October 2020, 15 landholders and Ag industry participants gathered in a Bunnaloo shearing shed to speak with award-winning and respected Aboriginal Australian author Bruce Pascoe.
This workshop was facilitated by consultants for the Wakool Agri-Innovation Program, Regionality. This program is a project undertaken by WMLIG to assist local area farmers and businesses to explore opportunities to innovate, diversify, or value add to their existing business. This was such an amazing opportunity to hear Bruce speak ... loved every moment. Venue, catering was fabulous” – Di, Moama |
In a presentation and facilitated Q&A, Bruce Pascoe provided attendees with insight into Aboriginal Australian culture, knowledge of country, and his personal history.
Topical discussion of Kangaroo Grass and other species enabled a illustrative discussion of spiritual connections between land, soil, and the act of nurturing nature as central to Aboriginal Australian culture. Held on the day prior to the 2020 Wakool Agri-Innovation Forum, this event provided attendees with a sample of the innovative perspectives to come. |
