A Field trip to the Pollack Wetlands20 community members enjoyed a Picnic at the Pollack to celebrate 50 years of Ramsar, the convention on the protection of Wetlands named after the Iranian city of Ramsar.
The day was an opportunity for the community to see, learn and ask questions about the Pollack Wetland. view ecological features, the effects of this year's environmental watering and native flora and fauna. The day included plenty of discussion around the bird colonies, a review of the turtle and small-bodied native fish monitoring, the bitterns and bell Frogs project and a broad Ramsar project update. |
