National Tree Day

Picture
In celebration of National Tree Day last month and thanks to our wonderful sponsors Murray River Council and Murray Irrigation Limited, 8 local schools and educational groups including almost 600 children received native trees from local nursery Tulla Natives alongside a little planting kit to make their contribution to the national tally.

Schools also received gardening goods to keep for future use. All plants and products were sourced from local businesses. We hope to have inspired a few budding future Landcare contributors!

We have included a summary of the day including pictures kindly supplied by the schools and have listed the locally-sourced gardening tools that they each received.
