Grant Sims Industry Tour

Industry Tour

As part of Western Murray Land Improvement Group's (WMLIG) AgTrends series, Grant Sims lead a tour of his multi-enterprise farm covering topics including ground cover, multi-species, forage cropping, bio-fert production and livestock integration.
Grant Sims from Down Under Covers specialises in designing multi-species cover crops, forages and custom made blend seed mixes. Grant talked about the benefits of cover crop, making his own fertiliser and showed how and where this process takes place.

The day will included:
  • A bus departing at 12:30pm arriving in Lockington at 2pm.
  • A tour by Grant Sims from Down Under Covers of his
  • multi-enterprise farm. The bus will then depart the farm at 5pm.
  • Dinner at a chosen venue on the return trip to Barham (arriving back in Barham at approximately 8pm.
Bring
  • Suitable footwear
  • Sun protection including a hat and sunscreen
  • Water bottle
  • Face mask
